remove the silt and clay components washed out of the raw material during sand and gravel washing, their sedimentation takes place in large sedimentation tanks, clarifiers or lamella separators with subsequent dewatering.<br><br>To reduce water requirements, the washing water produced is treated and recirculated and only process water-related water losses are compensated for by fresh water supplies, for example from wells, quarry ponds or rivers. For this reason, many companies require a water permit.<br><br>In process water treatment, polymer flocculants (pFM) ensure improved agglomeration of the fines into larger particles and thus improve authorities, obliged to take precautions to reliably ensure that the limit values for acrylamide according to national drinking water regulations are not exceeded by wash water seeping into the
