WET- AND DRY-STRENGTH AGENTS

Extensive product range for improving paper strength: PETROBOND©

Our dry strength agents strengthen the hydrogen bonds or increase the number of bonds between the fibers at their crossing points and thus improve the static strength in the paper. They can be used in surface and bulk applications:

cationic starch and starch-based biopolymers
 CMC
 Polyvinylamine (PVAm)
 Polyvinylalcohol (PVOH) and copolymers

Our wet strength agents are preferably used in the mass. They bind covalently to the fibers and reliably ensure that papers retain their required strength even when moist or wet:

Temporary wet strength agents (PAM, GPAM)
Permanent wet strength agents (PAE, PAAE)

Our application experts will be happy to advise you on the selection and use of the right product for your application.
